I’ve moved from being a wordpress hosted site to having my own darn domain! Yee-haaaaa!

This new version is about a million times more complicated, and I’m only just beginning to figure it out. If anyone has any experience with hosting their own Wordpress blog and would like to share it, I’d be very grateful.

In the meantime, I apologise if there are a few glitches here and there.

    I strongly advise you to do what I do- find a friend who knows and loves web programming, and have them do all the heavy tech lifting, while you lie back in a hammock slung between two server towers chuckling and sipping a pina colada.

    You don’t have to literally do that, of course. The drink could be a white russian, for example.

    Wow, congrats Tim! I actually took Disco Stu’s approach and had a friend do it for the site. then I fucked it up somehow, so now we’re still on wordpress.

    Thanks dubs! It’s early days yet, but I have a whole life of pathetic craving ahead of me, and that means COMEDY.

    Olivia, hosting your own Wordpress blog is an absolute nightmare to start with, but you can do a huge amount with it too; stuff that’s impossible if you’re using the basic version. I do recommend you go with the complex package even though you’ll probably have to start again several times.
